CSR grants and Community Partnership Programs by BNY Mellon

BNY MELLON has been generously supporting new initiatives at KAMAYANI SCHOOLS FOR SPECIAL STUDENTS in Pune for past 10 years with CSR grants and Community Partnership Programs. Latest project of Work Shop Power loom section is being inspected by Ms Leandra Mendonsa and Ms Sukhada of BNY MELLON in Jan 2018. The project will be functional from March 2018. It proposes to train additional 10 students in special skills and also is helped by Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies for coordination with Industries & Businesses in Pune Area.


Kamayani Nigdi branch Work shop training program has now achieved new dimension due to very generous CSR grants and suggestions from SAS R&D India over past 3 years. 10 students have just started training on the new machinery installed in December 2017 for making office stationary and packahing products needed by industries and businesses. Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies has been consultant to this project to improve the coordination with Industries around Pune.

UNDER the Nation-wide SWACHHA BHARAT ABHIYAN, teams of road cleaners were honored by Kamayani School and BJP Yuva Morcha members in Pune on Friday 7th Nov. 2014. Mrs. Shreelekha Kulkarni, Managing Trustee welcome the participants including Prof. Medha Kulkarni, (MLA), Shri Vikas Mathakar, Shri Siddharth Shirole, Shri Dabhi and many prominent citizens, social workers and municipal workers.

This award will be presented in person by His Excellency President of India Hon.Pranab Mukhrjee in a very grand function to be held in the Plenary ( Main ) Hall,Vigyan Bhavan New Delhi,as on 3rd Dec.2012 at 5.00 PM on the Occasion of the World Day of Disabled. Celebrating 16th year of Teacher's Training College
Continuing the tradition this year too Kamayani has arranged wel-coming ceremony for the new comers. The new comers will be blessed by Smt.Shrilekhatai Kulkarni, Administrative Officer, Kamayani P & S Society on 12 Sept 2012 at 4.00pm.

The program venue is Kamayani's training college hall, Gokhale Nagar Campus,Pune
For past 25 years kamayani is providing training for special teachers who can be a great help of our society. This year again for the same reason the admissions have open for the academic year 2012-13.

The course namely DSE(MR) is recognised by RCI (Rehabilitation Council of India - a statutory body under Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt of India)

As the applications are to be filled up online as well as by post, the dates are starting from 26th December 2011 till 21st February 2012. The Online ecams (CET exam) will be conducted in month of April 2012.

The demand for trained special teachers has increased considerably by a landmark judgement by the Hon'ble Delhi High Court for appointment of special teachers in each school of NCT of Delhi and National Council for teacher education (NCTE) granting approval to D.Ed.special Education qualifications for appointment of elementary teachers in general schools.

Annual day of Kamayani
Kamayani Welcomes ALL on 16th January 2010 to celebrate the Annual day.

We are very happy to announce that we have received Grant of Rs 10 Lakh, From Bank of New York- Mellon, USA, Through UWW USA, on 1st Jan 2010.

This grant is given for Expansion of Our Training Workshop for Mentally Challenged Persons. With the help of this grant Kamayani is going to open new doors of various training programs to Mentally Challenged Persons.
Visit to Mauritius

Hon. Sheilabai Bappoo, Minister of Social Security, NS &SCW, and RI, Govt. of Mauritius had visited Kamayani School few months ago and expressed keen interest in our activities.

Mrs. Shreelekha Kulkarni (Managing Trustee) & Dr. Arvind Kulkarni (Chairman) of Kamayani Society, during their recent visit to Mauritius were invited by the ministry to visit the Minister and the staff on May 15, 2009.

The visit was mutually inspiring and they showed and discussed various activities initiated by the Govt. of Mauritius for the training and welfare of Disabled persons in Mauritius. Mauritius is a small green and scenic island in the midst of Indian Ocean, near the east coast of South Africa, about 5000 km sounth of Mumbai. It was decided to develop a plan for exchange visitors between Mauritius and Kamyani Society in Pune.

The visits of personnel will be very helpful for exchange of new ideas and for traning of persons working with disabled persons in India and Mauritius.
